Developing an Occupational Health program was important to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center as we looked for ways to support the health and well-being of the workforce.The goals of Occupational Health are:
- to provide occupational/industrial health and wellness education to area businesses
- to provide occupational/industrial health and wellness consultation services to area businesses
- to provide area businesses with prompt, convenient, and professional occupational health related services appropriate to their needs
Sanford Sheldon Medical Center's Occupational Health program assures adherence to OSHA, Federal DOT, ADA, EEOC, and Workers’ Compensation regulations, standards, and laws. The services offered are structured according to the individual business’ needs.
In order to meet employees’ health and wellness needs, several Sanford Sheldon Medical Center's healthcare service areas and professional staff may be utilized, such as, the Medical Staff, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Laboratory, Radiology, Dietary, Pharmacy, and Outpatient Clinic.
